Milparinka #2 is a 150,000 acre property offering a vast and varied terrain where pigs, wild dogs, rabbits, and foxes can be found.
You will need a 4WD to get to the property and to get around the property.
There is variable Telstra phone service throughout.
A shearers quarters are available for accommodation as well as camping if desired.
No need to bring firewood – the property has available firewood lying around the property for you to collect.
You can sight your firearms at your campsite and target shoot with care, of course observing all safety precautions.
There are no extra charges for trophies, so long as hunters do the right thing.
The property is stoney, hilly, sandy with sand hills and water holes. The country is very open in some spots.
Rainfall 200ml average a year. Temps average 20 degrees in winter, 30 degrees in spring and Autumn and 40 degrees in Summer.
Shearers quarters featuring 6 bedrooms (12 beds), kitchen, bathroom, toilets, Telstra mobile coverage, power. Own bedding and food required. There are 2 single beds in each room and power points. Kitchen has a gas stove and fridge/freezer.
Camping by the water hole (sometimes dry) is 15kms from the homestead and requires all supplies to be brought by hunters and guests.
Please bring your own sun protection, repellent and first aid.
The property is available to book anytime with personal preference for seasons. Feb through Nov are preferred for most.
Visitors can arrive and depart anytime with respect and as long as the property owners are informed.
Rules on the property are simple – please respect and read the conditions for property access book. Common Sense – leave gates as found, no shooting at or within 500m of stock, or on ridgelines, respecting property boundaries, avoid driving on crops. Be mindful of driving close to or spooking stock.
Do not shoot anywhere near main house or owners’ pets. Hunt respectfully and no hunting and drinking. Take all rubbish with you to the designated area and do not litter throughout property. Obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans.
Take only memories and leave only footprints!
Visitors enjoy the peacefulness and space, the stars at night and relaxing in this happy place surrounded by abundant wildlife.
Hunters enjoy being able to drive somewhere different on the property each day and the challenge of hunting in the vastness.
The property has been in the family since 1946 and the current owners are 3rd Generation owners. It was previously owned by the Kidman family.
It’s a sheep and cattle property with 10 dams and 1 bore. Owners are happy to chat if you require more information to make your stay enjoyable.
This property is 350kms from the nearest major town of Broken Hill and 90kms from Tibbooburra.
Families can relax, walk, read, and bird watch on the property and in surrounding areas.
Visitors enjoy the lots of space, peace and quiet and the variety of terrain.
Service stations and supply stores in Broken Hill and Tibbooburra, usually open 6am-6pm in Broken Hill and 7am-6pm in Tibbooburra. Facilities include supermarkets, fuel, accommodation, caravan park, hotels, public toilets, parks and a Post Office.
It is recommended visitors come well equipped.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.

Risk assessments must be taken for potential hazards whilst using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy's on the property.
Some properties only allow certain types of vehicles. Please check listing carefully.
Helmet and protective gear to be worn whenever operating these vehicles.
We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.
Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.
No responsibility will be taken. Assess your own insurance for these recreational vehicles.
You release and indemnify IHP and all related parties against any claim of any kind whatsoever.
