Molong #2 is a 1,050-acre NSW property offering undulating, hilly, open grasslands with river frontage and dams.
Pig, foxes, hare, rabbits and ducks can be found and hunted here.
Quads, bikes and buggys, bows and spotlighting allowed. Hunting dogs are not.
A 4WD is not essential to get to this property as there is a sealed road to the gate, but a 4WD is needed if you want to explore the property by means other than foot.
Accommodation is camping only so bring everything you need to camp comfortably.
No need to bring firewood – the property has available firewood lying around the property for you to collect.
You can sight your firearms and target shoot, of course observing all safety precautions away from stock, houses and main roads.
No trophy fees.
A varied property, Molong #2 is 1,050 acres of both hilly and open terrain featuring river frontage that is great for game, a total of 7 dams and even caves.
The best time to book is all year with Spring been most favourable.
Summer temps range from 30°c to 20°c and in Winter 17°c to 5°c. The property averages about 40mm of rain per month.

Rules on the property are simple – follow and read the conditions for property access book. Common Sense – leave gates as found, no shooting at or anywhere near grazing cattle, or on ridgelines, respecting property boundaries, avoid driving on near crops and gardens. Do not chase young cattle and sheep. Hunt respectfully. Take all rubbish with you to the designated area, obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans. No hooning vehicles.
Molong #2 is a lovely property to relax, fish (yellowbelly,cod), catch yabbies, hunt and just enjoy the peace and quiet around a campfire.
Hunters enjoy the easy access and peace and quiet of the place away from the hustle and bustle.
Molong #2 is approx. 100km to visit dubbo zoo, 60km to visit Parkes Telescope, and 60kms to Wellington Caves lots of places to visit in the day and camp at night.
Dubbo has good shopping centres, and the Cumnock local pool is only an 12min drive away. Parkes and Wellington are both beautiful and interesting country towns nearby to visit.

Cumnock has a very nice little shop that has all the necessities, and you can buy takeaway food. They close about 5pm. There is also fuel and hardware at the same place – a one stop shop! There is also a decent pub at Cumnock.
Molong is only a 20min away and has a FoodWorks, Commonwealth Bank and about 3 cafes and other shops.
Orange is 45mins from the property also and is a bigger country town with more amenities and attractions.
It is recommended visitors come well equipped and bring insect repellent and sunscreen in summer.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
