SSAA OR HUNTING CLUB MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED BY ALL HUNTERS
Blackall #1 is a 40,000 Acre property containing flat grasslands and scrub as well as semi dry creeks, attracting a variety of wildlife.
Pigs, cats, rabbits and wild dogs are all available for hunting on this properlty.
Quads, buggys and spotlighting are all allowed on the acerage. Dogs and bikes will not be permitted.
4WD is necessary to gain access to the property during wet weather and it is advised that it would be beneficial to traverse the property.
Some patchy Telstra phone reception is available at the quarters, regular Telstra reception is available at the shearing shed (100m away from quarters).
There is shearers accommodation on site, capable of sleeping 10 people in 5 rooms.
The accommodation also has a designated fire pit, firewood can be gathered from around the property.

Terrain
Blackall #1 comprises undulating flatlands with open areas of mitchell grass and patches of gidgee scrub. There are also areas of ridge line with boree trees scattered throughout. Hunters and families alike will enjoy the open landscapes, perfect for bushwalks, picnics and wildlife sighting.

Average of 7 - 22 degrees in winter.
Average of 23 - 36 degrees in summer.
Facilities
The accommodation sleeps 10 people over 5 bedrooms. It has a communal shower and toilet located inside the building. The facilities also include a kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stone/oven, toaster, kettle and large dining area. There is no air conditioning, however there is a large breezeway running through the accommodation.
Best Time to Book
Best time to book is year round, each season offers a new hunting experience.
The best time to arrive and depart are during daylight hours.
Property Owners Rules
Rules are common sense, gates are to be left as they are found, no shooting at or near grazing livestock, hunt respectfully, leave the accommodation as it was found, make sure to take any rubbish with you or use the bins provided. Obey any fire restrictions that are currently in place. Please also report any unusual findings around the property.

Property History and Information
The property has been in the owners family for 4 generations and is a significant livestock operation. The local town also boasts the last remaining wool scour in australia. The hunters and their families will have ample opportunities for bushwalking, as well as push biking and picnicking. There is a large array of birdlife on the property, the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing adventure around the grounds.
Additional Supplies
The town of Blackall is 90km away and well stocked with 2 grocery shopps, a news agent, chemist, hospital, medical centre, 2 fuel stations, 2 tyre repair shops, butcher, baker, hardware and pubs/bottleshops. The town does not have any ammunition for sale.
The local town also has an aquatic centre with a relaxing spa and olympic size swimming pool. There are also several other towns nearby with breathtaking lookouts (such as Mt Slowcombe) and iconic locations, such as the Stockmans hall of fame and the Quantas Founders Museum.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
