Burrowye #1 is a 380 Acre property with riverside frontage. The property features areas of hilly and mountainous terrain with both forrests and areas of lignum brush.
There is also both flowing and semi-dry creeks running through the acerage, offering a variety of hunting opportunities.
Fallow deer, sambar deer, pigs, foxes, cats, dogs and ducks are all available for hunting on this property. There is also fishing available in the Burrowye Creek and dams featured on the property, containing trout and yabbies.
A limit of 1 deer per hunter is enforced.
Quads, buggys and spotlighting are all allowed on the acerage. Dogs are not permitted on the property.
4WD is not needed to access the property, but it is advised in wet conditions..
No mobile or landline phone service is available at this property. The owner suggests bringing CB radios so that hunters can communicate in the event of an emergency.
Only camping is available for this property.
The owner is fine with guns being sighted at the site and allows target shooting. The location of the sighting and targeting will be agreed upon on arrival.
Burrowye #1 comprises areas of both hilly and mountainous terrain covered in forrests and lignum. Featured waterways on the property include both flowing and semi-dry creeks as well as 3 dams and river frontage.
Summer is usually quite dry with an average temperature of 35 Degrees.
Autumn gets a small ammount of rain and an average of 22 Degrees
Winters are usually wet with an average of 10 Degrees.
Spring also tends to be wet with an average of 21 Degrees.
Campsite with running creek, long drop toilet and fresh water in limited supply. It is suggested that hunters bring food, warm bedding (in winter), cooking gear for camping, tents, swags, tarps, toilet paper and drinking water.
Any time of the year will offer great camping and hunting expertiences.
No shooting withing 100m of the house or water tanks. Target/sighting range to be coordinated on arrival. No horse riding on site due to insurance requirements. No one under the age of 18. No non SSAA members allowed on the property.
During summer months, there can be no open fires and gad cooking is essential.
The property has been with the current owners for 30 years while they build a house and off the grid lifestyle.
Tall peppermint and bluegums stand over lush blackwoods and line the permanent waterway of Burrowye creek. The creek flows right past the camp ground and the forest is full of deer. The forest covers endless gullies, rocky outcrops and ranges.
The town of Walwa is the best local place to restock and resupply, which is located 37Kms away. Walwa contains a fuel station, supplying petrol and diesel. There is also a general store located 32Kms away in the town of Jingellic.
For access to any of our properties, all Shooters, Non-shooters and Bow Hunters require current membership of one of the following:

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
