Barraba #4 is a 3,000-acre NSW property offering undulating, hilly, scrub country with flowing creeks and semi-dry creeks.
Red and fallow deer, pigs, goats, foxes, hare, rabbits and ducks can be found and hunted here.
Quads, bikes and buggys, bows and spotlighting allowed. No dogs.
You will need a 4WD to get to and get around this.
Cottage accommodation and camping is available.
No need to bring firewood – the property has available firewood lying around the property for you to collect.
You can sight your firearms and target shoot, of course observing all safety precautions away from stock, houses and main roads.
Trophy fees of $200 for goats/billies apply.
A varied property, Barraba #4 is 3,000 acres of both hilly and open terrain featuring creeks that are great for game.
The best time to book is all year with April – end of September favoured.
The highest average temperature in Barraba is 30°C in January and the lowest is 14°C - 5°C in June. The property averages about 32inches of rain per year.
Powered 2-bedroom cottage accommodation includes lights, fridge/freezer, stove, shower and toilet. You will need to bring everything to cook with and sleep on.
If camping, please bring everything you need to camp comfortably.
Rules on the property are simple – follow and read the conditions for property access book. Common Sense – leave gates as found, no shooting at or anywhere near grazing cattle, or on ridgelines, respecting property boundaries, avoid driving on near crops and gardens. Do not chase young cattle and sheep. Hunt respectfully. Take all rubbish with you to the designated area, obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans. No hooning vehicles.
Please no spotlighting around house, shed or yard and drive respectfully in the wet to not ruin the tracks. The property owners will generally keep to themselves unless these rules are broken.
Barraba #4 is a lovely property to relax, hunt and just enjoy the peace and quiet around a campfire. Hunters enjoy the peace and quiet of the place away from the hustle and bustle.
Tamworth is a big country town 85kms from Barraba and has everything from hotel and motel accommodation, pubs, clubs, retail outlets and food stops. There are plenty of annual events in Tamworth and sites to see include the Golden Guitar Information Centre, the Motorcycle Museum, Country Music Hall of Fame, lookouts, parks, playgrounds, galleries and more.
Barraba is 30-40mins (40kms) from the property and has an IGA supermarket and liquor store, fuel stops, bakery, butcher, take away shops, and Bowling Club with Chinese restaurant. It is a lovely country town and is 85kms from Tamworth – the Country Music Capital!
It is recommended visitors come well equipped and bring insect repellent and sunscreen in summer.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
You enter these properties fully aware of the risks involved and do so at your own risk.

Helmet and protective gear to be worn whenever operating these vehicles.
We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.
Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.
No responsibility will be taken. Assess your own insurance for these recreational vehicles.
