Springsure with an elivation of 345m, the town is located in the central highands region of Queensland, the area is surrounded by Snake Range and Minerva Hills National Parks.
The area has a polulation of 829 and the town is located approx. 765 Km Northwest of Brisbane and approx 66 Km south of Emerald on the Gregory Highway.

Springsure 1 Hunting Property has been in the family for over 17 years. The property is a working farm with crops, cattle and pastured pigs.
The property is 20mins from the township of Springsure, 1 hour from Emerald and 5 hours from Rockhampton.
Visitors who travel to the property are instanty struck by the tranquility and the abundance of scenery. Hunters love the variety of landscapes and easy access to the farm.
Terrain is iron bark bloodwood ridges, open coolabah plateaus and floodplain swamps.
Hunting on the property is open to both shooters and bow hunters - hunt Rabbits, Foxes, Pigs, Crows and cats. Make sure when you get to the property, ask the property owner what other pests you can help control. Do not bring your dogs to this property. They are not welcome.
A 4wd is not required to get to the property, but you will need a 4wd or Quadbike to get around the property.
The best time to arrive is daytime and the property owners love a chat - and are happy to have a beer with you in the arvo.
To keep on the good side of the property owners - leave the gates how you find them. If you open them, make sure you close them.
Accomodation facilities available on the property is a 2 bedroom, self contained unit that sleeps four people with full kitchen, bathroom and laundry.
4x single beds arrange in a bunk bed setup. There is also a split system Air Conditioner in each room.
90% of the property has mobile phone reception.
Firewood is provided around the property, with the condition that all fires are to be used in the designated fire pits provided.
You will need to bring all your own food and sanitary items. If camping, you will be required to bring all your own equipment.
Guns can be sighted on the property, apart from around the house.
The best time to book is all year round, with the average temperatures and rainfall:
Summer- 35C-40C
Autumn - 7C-30C
Winter- 7C-30C winter nights can get below 0C
Spring- 7C- 30C
Average rainfall: 600ml annually
The property owners do intense cell grazing on this property with a lot of high density single wire fencing. This will be nearly impossible to see if you aren’t looking for it. They just ask that you do not go through or over the fence and if you do happen to go through one just to let us know so we can repair it. Very important.
There are a lot of walking tracks that are not far from the accommodation.
If you need additional supplies, there is a small corner store open 7 days 7am till 9pm and an IGA that opens Monday to Friday 8 am – 5pm Sat 8am – 12 Closed Sunday. BP is open around 6am – 9pm 7 days a week
For access to any of our properties, all Shooters, Non-shooters and Bow Hunters require current membership of one of the following:

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
