Dirranbandi #3 is a 25,000-acre property comprising open grassland and scrub, with nearby rivers and dams, including the Balonne River.
There are a number of activities to keep visitors busy, including plenty of wild pigs, foxes, cats, rabbits, hares, and ducks to hunt. The property is also a great place to roam around on your motorbike, quad, Polaris, or buggy. Visitors may also like to fish, with cod, yellowbelly, and yabbies to catch. It is also a perfect place for bushwalking, photography, and birdwatching and young visitors can enjoy feeding poddy calves on the property.
This property is a 55km trip from the nearest town using a four-wheel drive vehicle. A 4WD is also suitable for traversing the property.
There are currently no sleeping quarters available, but visitors can choose from a range of campsites in various types of terrain. Firewood is abundant and visitors can gather and use this free of charge. While there is no need to bring firewood, visitors must bring all the other camping and hunting gear they may need to sustain their stay on the property.
Visitors should not shoot near the house and at or near livestock, although the property owners do permit target shooting. Hunters must remain mindful at all times while shooting and follow all the required safety precautions agreed to at the time of booking.
There is limited Telstra phone service in the area.
The beautiful terrain is a mix of shrubs, cropping, and open grasslands. Additionally, there is plenty of groundwater and a thriving environment for livestock and wild animals. It is a combination of heavy grey regrowth and red scrub country.
The average annual rainfall at the property is 16 inches. During winter, the temperature can go from 0 to 23 degrees Celsius, and, during summer, it ranges from 20 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The property owners don’t offer accommodation but there is a vast area for camping and abundant firewood for cooking and campfires. It’s important that visitors bring everything they need to sustain themselves for a comfortable stay, including sun protection, mosquito repellant, and a complete emergency kit. The property owners only have a basic first aid kit.
This property is a fun destination any time of the year, but visitors must book before arriving. During winter, the property offers a chilly, but scenic, landscape. Summer, spring, and autumn are the best seasons for hunting and other exciting outdoor activities. Visitors must inform the property owners when departing.

Visitors will love the peace and quiet at this location. At night, the beautiful clear skies reveal a clear view of the constellations. During the day, there are plenty of outdoor leisure activities, especially during summer, spring, and autumn. These include hunting, spotlighting, bushwalking, photography, bike riding, bird watching, and fishing.
When hunting, you can find wild pigs, cats, rabbits, foxes, and ducks. Young visitors can help feed and pet the poddy calves on the property. Visitors who love fishing can access the river and enjoy fishing for cod, yellowbelly, and yabbies. Explorers can bring motorbikes, quads, Polaris, and buggies to roam freely around the property.
The property owners purchased 20,000 acres of land to raise cattle, sheep, and goats, with a dream of also creating a sustainable and organic farm. This led them to also cultivate the property with wheat and oats.
They wish to share this beautiful terrain with visitors who love to connect with nature, while also offering hunters the opportunity to balance the ecosystem by helping remove unwanted and excessive animals. The owners are confident visitors will enjoy their stay and they are available for a chat if visitors wish to connect or ask questions.
There are several beautiful tourist attractions in the area for visitors to enjoy, including Riversand Vineyards, river cruises at Saint George, Cubbie Station tours, Balonne Artesian Thermal Hot Spring, and Hebel Pub (one and half hours away).
If visitors have neglected to bring any essential or luxury items, that is not a concern. There are several fuel stations in Saint George and across the Dirranbandi area. Supply stores include Foodworks and IGA supermarkets, and cafes are open 7 days a week. There are many great pubs too. Usual opening hours are from 5.30am to 10pm.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.

We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.
Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.
No responsibility will be taken. Assess your own insurance for these recreational vehicles.
You release and indemnify IHP and all related parties against any claim of any kind whatsoever.
