Mitchell #10 is a 76,000 acre timber and open grassland property with two rivers, offering hunting of pigs, cats, foxes, and dogs.
Bows allowed.
You do not need a 4WD to get to the property, however one necessary to get around the property.
Expect no phone service on the property.
Good accommodation is available. Own food, bedding and toiletries will need to be brought.
No need to bring firewood – plenty to collect.
You can sight your firearms and target shoot away from main roads and grazing cattle, of course observing all safety precautions.
The timber and grassland areas are supported by two rivers and the property is well watered by bores, pipelines and troughs. As well as the larger rivers there is one creek and a number of lagoons.
There are black soil river flats and deep sand cypress.
Temps are variable, ranging from a min low of -2 degrees to max high of 30 degrees in winter and up to 48 degrees in summer. Winter is therefore the ideal time to book.
This property can be booked all year, but best in winter.
Generally, the best time to arrive at the property is between 9am - 2pm and leaving before 5pm.
Rules on the property are simple – follow and read the conditions for property access book.
Common Sense – no shooting or disturbing of cattle or property animals. Leave gates as you find them. Hunt respectfully.
Take all rubbish with you to the designated area.
Obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans. And report anything unusual that you might come across.
Property uses UHF channel 37.
The property owner is happy to catch up late afternoon to see how you got on for the day.
Visitor to the property enjoy the wide-open space and good facilities, and hunters enjoy the varied countryside.
It’s a great property to explore, hike, relax, do some photography and birdwatching, or just sit around the fire and connect as family or friends.
The property is 92kms from Mitchell and 105kms from St George.
Mitchell has an artisan spa and the weir north of town.
St George has a big dam beside the town.
The towns of Mitchell and St George offer the usual food, gas, beer and limited land supplies during normal 9-5 trading hours.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
We also recommend current ambulance cover.
